How To Buy Information Products Without Wasting Your Time and Money

I am a HUGE believer in the value of education and I’ve purchased A LOT of Information Products over the past 3 years. In fact, now that I think about it I’ve spent thousands of dollars on Ebooks, courses, coaching and other products. But if you’re a Part-Time Network Marketer with limited time to build your business, it’s essential that you make every second (and every dollar) count. You must be very careful when you buy an information product or you could end up wasting a lot of valuable time and money. It’s vitally important for the growth of your business to purchase products/courses/coaching that will have positive results in the short-term.

The 7 Rules for Buying Information Products

Rule #1: Do your homework

If you are buying a $10 ebook, it’s not that important to check out the author. But if you’re going to buy an information product worth hundreds or thousands of dollars, you want to be darn sure the creator has a proven track record of success and delivering on promises. Search the internet for more others experiences using the product. Don’t rely solely on the Testimonials on the website. Those will be only the most positive; to get the full story, do your homework. Ask your sponsor or mentors their opinion before you buy.

Rule #2: You may not need even the best product

This one took me a while to get. The truth is, you should only purchase information products that you are ready for. For example, if you are a beginning marketer, you don’t necessarily need an advanced course in PPC advertising. You may learn a lot but your business is not at the stage where you will be able to get results quickly. Only buy products that you can use immediately to grow your business.

Rule #3: Don’t get overloaded

Unfortunately, this is one rule I seem to continually break. It’s important as a Part-Time Network Marketer that you limit the number of training courses or products you purchase to one at-a-time. With only a couple of hours a night to work on your business, concentration and focus are extremely important. Better to focus on one training at a time and implement what you’ve learned than to take many courses simultaneously and implement nothing. And don’t worry – most of the courses that “close” to new members magically reopen months later anyway.

Rule #4: Plan ahead and don’t get distracted

Creating a solid business and marketing plan is a necessary step to creating a successful home business, but you’d be surprised how many people have no idea where their business is headed. It’s like being in a boat without a rudder or motor, simply letting the tide and winds decide where you’ll end up. Decide ahead of time what you need to learn to grow your business in the short-term and stick to it. For example, if you want to become an expert video marketer, don’t purchase a course on article marketing no matter how good it looks. Stay focussed and stick with your plan.

Rule #5: Don’t get enticed by bonuses

Many product launches attracts a herd of affiliate marketers looking to make money off a sale. To entice you to buy through them, many marketers will offer bonuses. Be careful. Don’t let these bonuses throw you off course. To be honest, I have rarely even looked at many of the free bonuses I’ve received as a result of a product purchase. I concentrate my time and effort on the product I purchased. Unless the bonus is specifically something that I’ve wanted to learn, I ignore them. One exception here – if a bonus includes private coaching from an affiliate you respect and wish to learn from, this can be a reason to purchase through this person. The bottom line – don’t be swayed to buy an information product you many not need just because of the bonuses.

Rule #6: Every product you purchase is WORTHLESS unless you take action

Even the best information product is worth nothing unless you take what you’ve learned and TRY IT OUT. Using the strategies you’ve learned, test different options and see what works and what doesn’t. Only by implementing what you’ve learned can your business move forward. This one seems like a no brainer, but you’d be surprised how many people go through training and never take action.

Rule #7: Use your results to create a relationship with the owner

Nothing makes the creator of an information product happier and more proud than having one of his students take action and get great results. If this happens for you, be sure to contact the product creator and tell them what you’ve accomplished. Write or record a testimonial for the product. If it ends up on the product sales page as social proof, you can get some free advertising for your business. Continue to keep in touch with the product creator – many joint ventures have started out with such interactions.

Educating yourself is probably the single most important thing you can do to be more attractive and valuable to your prospects. Remember that, in general people join people, not opportunities, so it’s important to continually improve yourself through education and training. Follow these simple rules for buying information products and you’ll be well on your way to success in your Network Marketing business.

How To Sell Information Products For High Prices Online

Information that carries high value not just in monetary terms but also in terms of creating the quality of experience can command a high price from a prospective buyer. And not just that, information which can be highly path-breaking like ones revealed by Rich Schefren, Eben Pagan, Jeff Johnson and many more internet marketers is even more in demand within the marketplace.

Information is as much necessary today as food and medicine. Today, information is treated like medicine to treat pain in life. There are 2 types of information: one that increases growth and pleasure, another that eliminates or even decreases pain in life. Especially information that removes obstacles is known to be path-breaking and hence is known as “breakthrough information”.

Value can be termed in different ways by different people. For certain people, money is all that matters and therefore money is value to them. For another group of people, inner joy and satisfaction is all that matters which is value to them. Therefore, value can be tangible and intangible.

Therefore, one must decide whether any information sold by you is going to act as a healing agent or it’s going to increase/enhance the overall satisfaction of a person’s experience of life.

Now, information can be sold in various forms: audio, video, e-books, books, group coaching, webinars, membership site, forums, or even a one-on-one coaching program.

It’s upon you to decide how you wish to accelerate the results you want your target customers to achieve. But first, you need to be clear about what you want to deliver as a result of your training efforts. After all, information products are solutions that enlarge the vision of your target customers and thus help them become happier.

Therefore, the price of a product depends on the impact it carries to enlarge the vision of a target customer or probably, remove a large amount of pain from a person’s life. Lifestyles are very important and if your information product is going to radically enhance the quality of a person’s lifestyle then it is obvious you can charge a high price for the information you’re selling.

But most internet marketers who have successfully sold information products have been able to deliver at least 10 X or even 1000 times the price of their product. That’s what has made them successful. And they were crystal clear of who their product belongs to. Not every Tom, Dick or Harry is going to be your target customer. Every person has a unique personality and therefore unique needs so not every information product is going to be useful to each and every person on the planet.

Your product has to be different and unique from all other vendors so you stand a chance to build a brand around your product.

Creating Information Products for Long-Term Profits

Are you looking for a great way to turn a profit online? Internet marketing, though it will help bring in a small sum of money, will never quite help you get the lump of money that you’d like. However, you’ll have something that you can sell to user after user and your small amount of startup time will grow huge dividends.

What are information products, you may ask? They’re books, reports, pamphlets, or pretty much any content that you can market for a price. Thousands of entrepreneurs are currently selling e-books online, waiving any publishing costs that traditional pamphlets would accrue and making pure profit. After creating information products, you simply need to advertise them and find the right consumers.

Creating information products is clearly an incredibly cost-effective way to bring in a little extra income. If you’re selling a pamphlet for $30, let’s say, and you can only swing ten downloads a month, that’s still $300 a month you’ll be making and almost $4,000 a year. And that’s just after creating one simple pamphlet! You don’t have to pay publishing costs or shipping fees, and you’ll never have to invest any money that you won’t back almost immediately.

This is cost effective and terribly easy. If you love to write, are knowledgeable about certain topics, or just want to make a little money then you’re only a few quick steps away from bringing in a great chunk of supplemental income. You just need to follow a few of the following steps:

  • Determine your niche
  • Isolate your target audience
  • Determine a price
  • Advertise your product

That’s really all there is to creating information products! Figure out exactly what it is you want to write about, and make sure that it’s valuable enough to sell to online users. Remember when creating information products that you need to create something worth the money. If a thousand other people are saying the same thing for free then nobody will purchase your product.

The next step to creating information products is to figure out who your target audience is. Try to find some market that will be profitable and market directly to them. You don’t want to waste your time catering to audiences that simply aren’t interested in your product.

After you’re done creating information products, the next step is to price it appropriately. See what other people are charging for similar services and try to beat your competition. By lowering your price just a bit you may end up getting a huge increase in customers and the money will stack up in your favor.

The final step in creating information products is to advertise. Let people know about your product and they’ll come to you. It’s always important to remember when creating information products that you need to get your name out as much as possible. The more people that hear about your product, the more money you make!

Creating information products is a simple process and there’s really no way to lose money. Invest just a small amount of time and you’ll have a product that you can sell for years. Don’t wait to start making money, start earning a great income today!

Benefits of Selling Information Products Online

Having a business that can run on autopilot and give you money, month after month is every Internet marketer’s dream. You can create and sell information products which will allow you to accomplish that feat. There have been an incredible number of folks who have tried in various ways to earn some kind of online income. Creating information products has got to be the number one method for making money online, and there are many reasons we say that. So here are a few reasons why it is smart to create and sell information products online.

One excellent reason is you can more easily build a mailing list you can develop and market to for years to come. It has long been known that selling to the backend with a lesser expensive intro product is a powerful way to go. You can and should begin with a lower priced front end product, and then you build a list. Take the people who purchased the first and less expensive product, and then you will market to them and eventually offer them something more expensive. The strategy is simple really, and all you will doing is moving people along and offering buyers a higher ticket item later on down the road. When you start selling your own information products, you’ll find that there are no shipping costs and you don’t have to maintain any inventory. So you avoid the typical expenses that offline businesses have to contend with. Information products are delivered instantly over the internet, which is great for both you and your customer!

An info product business is very low maintenance, and can be run in a mostly hands-off manner. All you have to do is put the system in place, and it can mostly run on its own. You don’t have to be in front of your computer for people to read your sales page, place their order and receive their download. You certainly can’t say that about any traditional offline business.

All in all, from the above article we come to understand the value of selling your own information products. Many people start learning and then they get stuck, and that is what you need to avoid letting happen to you. You can start doing research today for good products to learn from, and then learn from them what has value for customers and what they will be willing to pay for such a product.
